Okay, sorry! I missed which cost you where talking about. gEdit (which
contains the code I'm suggesting you consider) is only 229K in size.
(Gnumeric as of 0.45 is about 3467K - I'm using the size of the rpms.)
I don't code (so I may not be huge amounts of help), but I'd guess from
this that the code to do what I'm talking about shouldn't bloated at
all, and since the code for gEdit is GPL you might be able to use it to
help with implementation.
