I have my MDI settings set to notebook, that may make all the
difference. But given that you can actually select what sort of MDI
model you wish to use, I think gedit is quickly becoming an excellent
model on which to base the CLOSE/EXIT/DOCUMENT management in gnumeric.
It's is quickly becoming apparent to me the gedit is really nicely set
up to allow the user to work the way they wish.
