Huh? Are you advocating that Gnome (or at least gnumeric) should
merely be an effort to imitate Windows? I'd rather have a Gnome that
does things different as long it is a Better Way.
It does not take long for people to get used to this slightly
different approach. Gnumeric is very similar to Excel otherwise. If
your working with spreadsheets, I don't think opening and closing is
your primary concern. Thus I don't think that people will be put of by
that:-)
