[GnomeMeeting-list] Problem starting

RedHat 7.3, using gnomemeeting that came on the distribution disks. 
When I start it, I see the small blinking icon on the desktop and the 
name in the bottom bar (showing it's trying to initialize), but after a 
few seconds of this, they both just disappear, with no message or 
indication.  Has anyone any idea or seen this happen?
