My solution, albeit a drastic one, was to switch to Debian Lenny. pilot-link works consistently for me now. I've not tried any of the other interfaces yet, but I bet they work too, since most of them use pilot-link under the covers AFAIK. bgoodr On 5/3/08, Barry Smith wrote: > Hi all, > > I have a Treo 650 which I have had syncing with Windows and FC3 (a long > time ago!). > > Since installing FC8 I have been unable to get the Treo to sync with any > program, (KPilot, gnome-pilot), via either the Treo dock, direct cable > (both USB), or via Bluetooth. > > Basicly, it is as if the computer is unable to find the Treo. I tried delving into the code in evolution-exchange and evolution-dataserver and got lost in the details trying to figure out how the change list is created in determining the list of items in which calendar to send to the pilot during the sync in this mode. My Timezone is set to Eastern/Montreal on both evolution and on the palm. But when set to "Synchronize" using my Outlook Calendar, it is not picking up the most recent list of updates made to my Outlook Calendar. Anyone offer any ideas as to what to try? Running evolution-2.22.1-8, evolution-exchange-2.22.1-8 evolution-data-server-2.22.1-7 and gnome-pilot-2.0.16 on OpenSUSE 10.3. I've run the gpilotd in debug mode and it's just telling me what I already know - timezone is setup as expected and 0 records are being returned in the get-calendar-changes function call being made to EDS. Try googling for "closedir+0x28 double free", or even just "closedir+0x28". Here's one posting that might give the flavour: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2007-February/179580.html It might be worth trying to rebuild the gnome-pilot package on your system, in case there has been some binary incompatibility introduced in a system library (though I don't see anything obvious in your list of updated packages). I'd suggest you open a bug on bugzilla.gnome.org to track this, rather than posting to this list. Post a reference to the bug ticket here, so people can follow the discussion if they want. Other things to try, to generate more info: install the gnome-pilot-dbg package to get a backtrace with symbols, and start gpilotd within 'valgrind'. This will generate quite a bit of output but might catch something significant. You could attach the output to a bug report.
