Re: Fonts squished vertically after upgrade to 2.14

Hi,

I have additional information:  The font is called Bitstream Vera Sans 
Mono (VeraMono.ttf), it is a standard truetype font.

Because I now know the font name and filename, I am positive that the font 
has not changed since I did the upgrades (the package it is in was not 
upgraded), so the font itself is not the problem.  Additionally, this 
squishing is happening with several other fonts.

The font displays correctly in gnome-font-viewer, but does not display 
correctly in the Gnome font preview dialogs (for example, gnome-terminal, 
Edit > Current Profile > Font)... so it seems that various parts of Gnome 
are using different font display subsystems, some of which are correct... 
unless of course gnome-font-viewer is doing its own rendering.
