How to change the screen resolution GNOME Documentation Project gnome-doc-list@gnome.org April Gonzales loonycookie@gmail.com Why does everthing on my screen look so big?

Your font resolution settings may be set very high. You can change it to a lower setting to make the font appear smaller. To do so:

Select SystemPreferencesAppearance.

Select the Fonts tab.

Click on the Details button. This brings up the Font Rendering Details window.

On the field next to the label Resolution, type in the font resolution you wish to use. Remember that using a lower number decreases the size of the font.

Click the Close button to go back to the Appearance Preferences window.

Click Close.

All changes made are automatically reflected.
