Needs an update. * No response yet * Montreal Summit update * no new update * Travel Committee, Delegation, Budgets, etc. * Will be added to the Travel committee work session * Spam for board-related lists * Andrea suggested that the only way to reduce spam is to moderate the list * Added new rules == Discussed on the mailing list == * Cease calling the Github mirror "official". * +1 from Kat, Joanie, Tobias and Sriram * -1 from Emmanuele, Andreas * Missing a vote from Marina, since she was away on vacation. * '''VOTE''': Ask Alberto and Andrea to remove the "official" from the Git``Hub GNOME mirror: passed: aye:4, nay:2, absent:1. * Emmanuele wanted to add to the minutes that he "appreciates and applauds the outreach effort of Alberto and Andrea, especially in the face of apathy from a community that wants results without committing resources, and that is ready to criticise anybody who actually puts time and effort into making our code and projects accessible to more people, in the spirit of the license we use and the goals we profess to have." * Others on the board was thankful to the efforts of Alberto and Andrea, but felt the usage of the word Official was not a proper fit for the use. * The board asked Andrea if it would be possible to set up a Gitorious mirror similar to the Github one. The answer is that it is possible if someone have to write a hook, communicate with the Gitorious administrators to make sure there is enough space and other tasks that might come up in the process. After that is done, Andrea can enable the hook on git.gnome.org * '''ACTION''': Karen to ask on foundation-list if somebody wants to work with Gitorious.org to create a GNOME mirror there * Alberto removed the "Official" from the mirror == Completed Actions == * Karen will send and email to foundation-list for questions for the board Q&A at GUADEC - there will be a foundations IRC meeting * Joanie, Kat, Tobi, Rosanna, Karen will hold a work group at GUADEC about the travel committee process * Kat to check with Andrea how to improve the spam filters of the board-related list archives == Pending action items == * Andreas to put together a GNOME supporter card for our donors * Emmanuele to send Zana and Tobi an update on FoG donors gifts * Emmanuele to send hackers up for "adoption" the list of donors that want a postcard * Joanie and Kat to draft a new travel assistance form to replace the current one (Kat, Joanie and Zana to discuss and come up with a solution) * Joanie to draft a proposal for the photography policy at GNOME conferences to discuss on foundation-list * Joanie will ping the Release Team again for the Foundation IRC meeting after the 3.10 release is completed * Kat to create a private wiki page on the web services accounts holders and passwords * Karen to write the Privacy policy for GNOME services * Karen to carry on the discussion to explore the offer from Wau-Holland-Stiftun for collecting funds in Europe for us * Karen to contact Tor, EFF, OTI for feedback and eventual funding for privacy work * Karen to "call for ideas" for privacy work related bids at GUADEC and by blog/email to foundation-announce * Karen to ask on foundation-list if somebody wants to work with Gitorious.org to create a GNOME mirror there * Karen and Tobi to continue pursuing the fund collection in Europe * Sri to investigate better uses of adwords on the GNOME websites * Tobi to talk to Andrea to move the PayPal data extraction scripts over to the GNOME infrastructure -- W: http://www.emmanuelebassi.name B: http://blogs.gnome.org/ebassi/ From nearyd@gmail.com Thu Sep 12 13:56:05 2013 Return-Path: X-Original-To: foundation-list@gnome.org Delivered-To: foundation-list@gnome.org Received: from localhost (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by restaurant.gnome.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4C60F76E35; Thu, 12 Sep 2013 13:56:05 +0000 (UTC) X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new at gnome.org X-Spam-Flag: NO X-Spam-Score: -2.6 X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=-2.6 tagged_above=-999 required=2 tests=[BAYES_00=-1.9, DKIM_SIGNED=0.1, DKIM_VALID=-0.1, FREEMAIL_FROM=0.001, RCVD_IN_DNSWL_LOW=-0.7, SPF_PASS=-0.001] autolearn=ham Received: from restaurant.gnome.org ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (restaurant.gnome.org [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id h52mSo0FPuux; Thu, 12 Sep 2013 13:56:00 +0000 (UTC) Received: from mail-bk0-f46.google.com (mail-bk0-f46.google.com [209.85.214.46]) by restaurant.gnome.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 64EDB76ACE; Thu, 12 Sep 2013 13:55:49 +0000 (UTC) Received: by mail-bk0-f46.google.com with SMTP id 6so4164492bkj.19 for ; Thu, 12 Sep 2013 06:55:47 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20120113; h=sender:message-id:date:from:user-agent:mime-version:to:cc:subject :references:in-reply-to:content-type:content-transfer-encoding; bh=nllnfWTtoLl2EhUtFlQEEHuU0vX0fbSxZ2uuH6h7QyY=; b=Yj0Vevcwgo+f0SffA3i8fxhXbsneuihYhYIELb9ENwebiW6CxxOGaRZriCpRaY/TbS VcrY8zpHIogGm9dXIccaehKk2vPt4JU9eLFyUza53G1c9g044ZOCdTgZnF7GbjuebISK ow+F7hwPaZnwZY6tMfAds3O6vERHN97boKnxeesAmyqdVjQSVtmoIEtW1ZLqilwf/Uup JzlqKIbIweNf3y9iXczkGUMdxgCkyL91TXtuLGTi1yco31/c7VJbx9EucxZtnmrXxRMN XTaR47pry0rvVjzHFxaxPPiUbQuF1ZRvsVabi1TOVQOARZxlGa5xvY/DTTMFg32t0dsC nvvw== X-Received: by 10.205.22.71 with SMTP id qv7mr6792193bkb.20.1378994147135; Thu, 12 Sep 2013 06:55:47 -0700 (PDT) Received: from leitrim.localdomain (87-231-153-233.rev.numericable.fr. However, the majority of the board requested that the word "official" be removed as we think it could be confusing as to whether GNOME is recommending GitHub. Alberto has already complied with this request. (You can read more detail about this in the minutes.) The board would like to explore making this effort with other services (like Gitorious). If there is someone who would like to put in the work to create the appropriate hooks in the repository, please contact us. karen From andreasn.pixel@gmail.com Fri Sep 13 17:31:08 2013 Return-Path: X-Original-To: foundation-list@gnome.org Delivered-To: foundation-list@gnome.org Received: from localhost (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by restaurant.gnome.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A7C55768F7 for ; Fri, 13 Sep 2013 17:31:08 +0000 (UTC) X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new at gnome.org X-Spam-Flag: NO X-Spam-Score: -2.6 X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=-2.6 tagged_above=-999 required=2 tests=[BAYES_00=-1.9, DKIM_SIGNED=0.1, DKIM_VALID=-0.1, FREEMAIL_FROM=0.001, RCVD_IN_DNSWL_LOW=-0.7, SPF_PASS=-0.001] autolearn=ham Received: from restaurant.gnome.org ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (restaurant.gnome.org [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id gqAOO1b8H4i6 for ; Fri, 13 Sep 2013 17:31:04 +0000 (UTC) Received: from mail-wg0-f52.google.com (mail-wg0-f52.google.com [74.125.82.52]) by restaurant.gnome.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id EAD7976959 for ; Fri, 13 Sep 2013 17:30:53 +0000 (UTC) Received: by mail-wg0-f52.google.com with SMTP id m15so1453967wgh.19 for ; Fri, 13 Sep 2013 10:30:51 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20120113; h=sender:message-id:date:from:user-agent:mime-version:to:subject :content-type:content-transfer-encoding; bh=0GJ2Tz0qtLxJulKGyx7TMIyVs0M4bGlqyVa03NBYiEQ=; b=XECJrmE8FPxvgeSkTOVyITZRCZ9WndeizmcZ0nxZlpPm2wxpP1y67JUb18OKhFwp2F IwIpvJQ1D8GWHLidqdAnlPn+vYfzXanbxekwT91EW286L3LfEhhi/XymsgNsafis4vcN JVbuxK5XFBEQpgamPQf5v3HBB6FzokzfqyAq+XagNNIl/zUh4sjf5/XmZbWaWxyd91XA VUAlPQ+GyWT/np6ojdfAsxkhoudsl/7w96VtP3lkuCwoZNyTE8T3gOhtDsskJ1Arrgz2 oGIo/Hq/K97gx62cAI1qqOSKmT2Zafc9FoSvtZMe89/HJXsV1r05QemyBPegRLF3vBDZ bFPg== X-Received: by 10.180.206.244 with SMTP id lr20mr3383069wic.45.1379093451375; Fri, 13 Sep 2013 10:30:51 -0700 (PDT) Received: from jocelyn.local (h-226-193.a336.priv.bahnhof.se. SpamAssassin integration with Mailman works wonders. I recently enabl= ed
it for some oVirt mailing lists, and our moderation queue has dropped to 0. http://www.jamesh.id.au/articles/mailman-spamassassin/

This would allow you (with a corpus of ham & spam to train it) to keep<= br> the list unmoderated.

=A0Andrea was planning on using it but= we have to do a little surgery after teh spam has been removed. =A0So, the= re is some glue code we have to write.

Have they been discontinued because of lack of interest/time from those who was producing them? If we want to have a 2013 annual report is not about time to start working on it? Maybe a wider dissection about the relevance/importance of the reports are needed. -- -mvh Oliver Propst From sri@ramkrishna.me Mon Sep 30 23:42:19 2013 Return-Path: X-Original-To: foundation-list@gnome.org Delivered-To: foundation-list@gnome.org Received: from localhost (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by restaurant.gnome.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B52E676BE6 for ; Mon, 30 Sep 2013 23:42:19 +0000 (UTC) X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new at gnome.org X-Spam-Flag: NO X-Spam-Score: -2.6 X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=-2.6 tagged_above=-999 required=2 tests=[BAYES_00=-1.9, RCVD_IN_DNSWL_LOW=-0.7] autolearn=ham Received: from restaurant.gnome.org ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (restaurant.gnome.org [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id Ii2lFRY9eFnq for ; Mon, 30 Sep 2013 23:42:15 +0000 (UTC) Received: from mail-lb0-f180.google.com (mail-lb0-f180.google.com [209.85.217.180]) by restaurant.gnome.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 49CC376B7D for ; Mon, 30 Sep 2013 23:42:04 +0000 (UTC) Received: by mail-lb0-f180.google.com with SMTP id q8so5031335lbi.25 for ; Mon, 30 Sep 2013 16:42:02 -0700 (PDT) X-Google-DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=1e100.net; s=20130820; h=x-gm-message-state:mime-version:in-reply-to:references:from:date :message-id:subject:to:cc:content-type; bh=doAygtRriiazm+qvOkVuxl17f2sz4ySZkAYfX0t9dqY=; b=e00Y00vUS0Zd2VNLIp0ojcWc2c1inZJWHfiqOoimXE4gMyG+MNBBKCI2a0Hs7dIu3H n8HU8pDXbKZbNttaL7q8mmkP9216piESPfiCV5SR8Y3norgvtXAw1wUiOMoembzR56jU Ct8BoXtxYBUS5RLhZJD60/fVHwrfSNdUKP6f01pzNBa6X7cGD7z8WEPORmphzgtqiRYh q6Sdqb20KZkP/jpCkNyyrhF5oWAtmZ0fcxEaVXuuzqYhETrrIYffVatijCcNnpl2WhMX LzWYuX9+8a6TUtdbHdXialwBP+7R6ffq6049A2xT6dYQ76n2kWDOx+L1uAn6/ggr32Vv BeaQ== X-Gm-Message-State: ALoCoQkYy8dNesJWmKzhH+lgtwlpwMP1h4hTiKJGhOjuQWFOi7D7AZCR/5+/30E2Dy2lKV95ZMb+ X-Received: by 10.112.0.242 with SMTP id 18mr23983636lbh.18.1380584522286; Mon, 30 Sep 2013 16:42:02 -0700 (PDT) MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 10.112.159.138 with HTTP; Mon, 30 Sep 2013 16:41:42 -0700 (PDT) In-Reply-To: References: From: Sriram Ramkrishna Date: Mon, 30 Sep 2013 16:41:42 -0700 Message-ID: Subject: Re: Status of reports To: Oliver Propst Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Cc: Foundation-List , GNOME Marketing List X-BeenThere: foundation-list@gnome.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.15 Precedence: list List-Id: Discussion relating to the GNOME Foundation List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Mon, 30 Sep 2013 23:42:19 -0000 Hi Oliver, I believe there is still interest. We completed the 2012 Annual report and it was passed out at GUADEC. Some folks from the engagement team and others help put in the work on 2012. I don't know if we can pull together something for 4th quarter which is what I think we have time for given the amount of time we spent on the 2012 annual report.
