No, not at the moment. The message is hard-coded. But my guess is the
mail-notification plugin will eventually gain some user preferences.
There does seem to be sufficient demand for this kind of customization.

Not under Evolution's control, though it sounds like a reasonable
request. The calendar applet lives in the gnome-panel module.
