I believe your problem is that aspell 0.60 doesn't work with 0.50
dictionaries. You will need to downgrade aspell (and aspell-en) or find
an aspell-nl-0.60 version, which doesn't seem to exist.
This is why aspell 0.60 hasn't gone stable on gentoo yet; not all the
dictionaries are updated. (Looking at aspell.net, ~1/2 of the
dictionaries are not yet updated...)
