Canonical resources for Epiphany development?

According to the usual news sites, Mark Shuttleworth said last week of
so that Canonical is putting together a team to do upstream desktop
work.  What better place to put some of Canonical's resources than into
Linux's only truly usable WebKit based browser?  You know.  The one that
is *supposed to be* the official browser of the DE that is Ubuntu's
official DE?

Has anyone made contact, or heard anything about Epiphany maybe getting
some of the love?
