Modifying the html with a python extension

Hello,

I'm trying to write a small extension using python to automatically fill in login/pwd informations using bugmenot.com

I've managed to make add the popup menu entry when I right click on an input form but I couldn't figure out how i can fill in the input fields.

Ideally I should be able to be able to recognize the type of a field (text or password) and submit the form.

Could anyone point me to the right direction ?
