I don't know. 471236 is my diamondcard u= ser id. I have also have a
diamondcard password. T= hose are the only things I use. I skip past anything
ekiga except for ekiga call out, where I put my diamondcard stuff. = Ekiga could
make this much more user friendly but I gue= ss they want to encourage us to use
the ekiga system.

The problem is that Ekiga does not register that account, perhaps a network problem. To check what happens we (or me) need the log, cf. http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Debugging_Ekiga#How_to_get_a_debug_output. I'm not sure how dangerous it would be to disclose to the world so I have obfuscated it (lovely word). I don't use Ekiga much but have recently re-invoked it and been fiddling with it a bit here by myself. The nature of the incoming call is Ekiga rings and rings and rings. No Voice and Cannot 'put down' ie the red phone is inactive. I think all buttons are greyed out. Eventually i had to go to Task Manager and kill Ekiga there. Ekiga sounds great, but I haven't yet found a way to evaluate choices of service providers. Web searches such as "SIP service provider" produce junk. They're either corporate-oriented, or there are simply no obvious good choices. How do I find a service provider? I just need the basics. Domestic voice is enough, but ideally video and sms too. Sending sms works fine. But, even though I have told diamondcard.us to forward text messages to the phone number I use to send sms via ekiga, ekiga does not let me know when I have received a text message. I have to check my email or go onto the diamondcard site to learn that I have received a sms message. Any thoughts on how I can be alerted by ekiga that I have received a text message? Thanks John
