Ok, thanks for the info!

So, it looks like Parenting is like a special type of group, where one
object acts as a container for others, and you are still able to
manipulate the objects within to some degree. Unlike regular groups
where all you can do is move the group around (eg: you can't resize
groups afaict).

Might you consider adding the info you provided to the docs sometime?
It may reduce the number of noob questions on the mailing list a bit.
