That's way too cool! Basically I have nothing to worry about, then.
Also in a different message, you complained that Dia doesn't remember
the position of windows. Does Gtk have such a feature, the way
Nautilus always remembers the last position of any file browser
window?
A small thought ... the comment above can be generalised to: "Thanks
to (somebody else's good work), implementing (my favourite feature) is
just (a simple thing)" ... feeling particularly cheerful about Free
Software today morning :D
