and running xsltproc by hand works (note there is typos in
usage-layers.xml i had to correct to build doc, and it warns about
"tt" tag)

line is:
 xsltproc /usr/share/xml/docbook/stylesheet/nwalsh/xhtml/docbook.xsl
 dia.xml
